We are now seeking a dynamic HR Operations Lead to join our team and play a critical role in shaping and delivering people and culture practices across the organisation. This role can be offered on a full-time basis, or part-time at 4 days per week for the right candidate.
About the Role
As HR Operations Lead, you will provide leadership and oversight of HR operations, payroll support, and compliance while driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and policies. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role ensures our HR and people practices support our strategic goals, enhance employee engagement, and enable a high-performance culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the HR operations function, ensuring compliance with employment law and Fair Work requirements.
- Overseeing HR systems and processes for employees and contractors, including onboarding and offboarding.
- Supporting payroll governance and providing backup payroll processing where required.
- Driving HR policy development, communications, and change initiatives.
- Leading employee relations matters, investigations, and resolution processes.
- Championing diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Partnering with executives to deliver workforce planning, HR strategies, and remuneration reviews.
About You
We’re looking for a HR professional with proven experience in HR operations, compliance, and systems improvement. You’ll bring a proactive, solution-focused mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively with executives and stakeholders.
Essential skills & experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated HR supervisory or operations experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work compliance, and payroll legislation.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems, ideally in a multi-site or remote workforce.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead change.
Healthcare or allied health sector experience, and familiarity with contractor/employee workforce models, will be highly regarded.
