We also offer Allied Health services via telehealth to NDIS participants, including Counselling, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, and Mental Health Social Work.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced General Practitioner to provide high-quality care to aged care residents in the Newcastle region. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and growing healthcare setting.

In this role, you’ll work on-site at aged care facilities across Newcastle and the surrounding Hunter region, an area known for its beautiful coastline, thriving food and arts scene, and relaxed lifestyle. Newcastle combines urban convenience with a strong sense of community, making it an ideal location for professionals looking to contribute to aged care while enjoying a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.

You’ll be supported by a multidisciplinary team including a full-time nurse, a geriatrician, and experienced administrative staff. Your days will include clinical consultations, reviews, and collaboration with facility staff to provide patient-centered care to residents.

Requirements

• General or Specialist AHPRA registration without conditions (Overseas applicants are not eligible for this position)
• Comfortable with system-based reporting and various clinical software platforms
• A personal laptop is required to carry out your duties

Non-Vocationally Registered General Practitioners

Are you close to completing your RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship? If you’re looking to build experience and make a meaningful contribution in aged care, we’d love to hear from you. Daily rate: $1,700–$1,800 per day pre fellowship completion.
