The Opportunity

Access Aged Care is actively seeking expressions of interest from General Practitioners to join our team, providing on-site, relationship-based medical care to residents within Residential Aged Care Homes across Tasmania

Weekday hours only, no after-hours or on-call requirements, with strong clinical and administrative support provided.

This role is designed for GPs who value clinical depth over volume and want to practise in a structured, well-supported environment. You will work with a consistent cohort of residents, allowing you to build meaningful clinical relationships and deliver thoughtful, continuity-focused care — without the pace or pressures of traditional general practice.

You will be supported by a dedicated on-site nurse, telehealth geriatricians and physicians, and a highly experienced administrative team, enabling you to focus on clinical decision-making rather than coordination, paperwork or logistics.

Requirements

• Current AHPRA Specialist Registration as a General Practitioner.
• RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship required (or nearing completion).
• Availability of 1-4 days per week, depending on your preference and availability.
• Comfortable with technology, including system-based reporting and common clinical software.
• A personal laptop is required to perform the duties of this role.
