Lead with impact. Shape the future of aged care.

At Access Aged Care, we’re transforming the way healthcare is delivered in residential aged care facilities. By embedding integrated medical teams within our partner facilities, we improve outcomes, streamline services, and provide quality care that residents and families can rely on.

We are currently seeking a Clinical Operations Manager (COM) to lead and inspire our remote nursing team, elevate service delivery, and drive clinical excellence across our national model of care.

About the Role

As the Clinical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of our regional nursing team. With Nursing Regional Managers (NRMs) reporting to you, your focus will be on performance coaching, workforce management, clinical governance, and continual service improvement.

This is a dynamic, senior-level position that plays a critical role in improving resident outcomes and maintaining strong relationships with aged care facilities (RACFs), residents, and their families. The role is supported by a multi-disciplinary clinical team including GPs, geriatricians, administrative staff, and specialist partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to the nursing team across multiple regions.
  • Coach and develop Nursing Regional Managers into high-performing leaders.
  • Ensure high-quality clinical care, service consistency, and KPI achievement.
  • Lead recruitment, retention, and performance management of remote nurses.
  • Oversee clinical governance and compliance, including reviews and documentation standards.
  • Monitor and optimise specialist rounds, nurse-to-resident ratios, and clinical scheduling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with RACFs, residents, and their families.
  • Report regularly on team performance and clinical outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Drive innovation, quality improvement, and workforce engagement initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised leader with:

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large clinical teams (ideally over 40 staff).
  • A background in aged care clinical practice and facility operations.
  • Strong people management skills, including coaching, communication, and conflict resolution.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance clinical integrity and business priorities.
  • Previous experience managing or supporting a remote workforce (highly desirable).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional presentation.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.

What We Offer

  • An opportunity to lead innovation in aged care.
  • A supportive, purpose-driven leadership team.
  • Competitive salary package including travel reimbursements.
  • Flexible working arrangements and a collaborative culture.
  • A role where your clinical leadership truly makes a difference.

Join us in reimagining aged care.

To apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your leadership experience and passion for aged care.
