Make a Real Difference in Aged Care – Cairns

At Access Telehealth, we’re Australia’s leading provider of telehealth-supported Aged Care. Our mission is simple: to improve the health and well-being of older Australians by combining compassionate care with innovative healthcare solutions.

We’re expanding and are looking for a dedicated Nurse to join our Access Aged Care team in Cairns.

This opportunity is for a motivated and passionate individual that can work well in an autonomous role, and appreciate the freedom and flexibility in this role that will be based from participating Aged Care facilities. Regular travel to partnering homes to facilitate clinical review will be required.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Participation in an innovative medical care model: Make a difference in every patient's life.
  • Room to grow: Opportunities to step into leadership or project work.
  • Values-driven organisation: prioritising our people.
  • Access to smart technology: including a laptop and tablet.
  • No shift work: Monday to Friday only, with weekends, public holidays and nights free.
  • Focus on care, not manual handling: No showering, feeding or toileting required.
  • Supportive culture: We value your ideas and back your professional development.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide clinical management and coordination across local aged care facilities.
  • Conduct regular resident reviews and support person centred care plans.
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, supported by a Nursing Regional Manager and admin staff.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families and facility partners.
  • Use your clinical knowledge and IT skills to ensure quality outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

The successful applicant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure efficient and high quality service delivery, coordinating the clinical team with the support of the Nursing Regional Manager and administration team. You will also be required to support the model by conducting business development to grow the resident base. Proficiency in computer usage is a must, and while prior telehealth experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.

  • Minimum of 2 years in Nursing within Australia, and AHPRA registration.
  • Aged Care experience (leadership experience highly regarded).
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Confidence with IT and documenting resident needs.
  • A driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
