Are you looking for a flexible opportunity to earn extra money and contribute to something meaningful? We're hiring Field Officers for the Census Test in Albany, Mount Baker and surrounding areas.
About the Census Test:
The Census is the most comprehensive snapshot of Australia and tells the story of how we’re changing. It helps us understand what we need now, and into the future.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) conducts the Census every five years, counting every person and household in Australia. The Census asks questions about age, country of birth, cultural background, living situation, work and education. The information is used to estimate Australia’s population, distribute government funds, and plan services for individuals, families and communities.
Before each Census, it’s important to test how we’ll run it to ensure we’re ready to deliver a positive, safe and secure Census that is easy to complete. The Census Test requires Field Officers in selected areas across Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.
Travel Requirements:
You will be required to use your own registered and comprehensively insured vehicle to travel to work areas. In metropolitan areas, workloads can be distributed over multiple suburbs, whereas in rural areas the workloads will be more widely dispersed. Proximity to a suitable work area will be considered when selecting applicants.
