Summary

The Complaint Investigations Tech is an entry-level laboratory role within the Complaint Investigations Lab. This position is responsible for processing and investigating returned medical device products to support customer complaint resolution while ensuring compliance with ISO and FDA Quality System Regulations. This role is well suited for candidates with quality, inspection, or technical backgrounds, including recent graduates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely unpack and sort returned products by product line
  • Investigate returned products related to customer complaints involving blood glucose meters, strips, and sensors
  • Perform routine physical, chemical, and functional testing on returned products
  • Use laboratory and troubleshooting equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, and microscopes
  • Accurately document investigation results in the Complaint Handling System
  • Maintain proper documentation of all laboratory work and quality records
  • Ensure testing equipment is within calibration and validity requirements
  • Process customer returns in a timely manner in compliance with ISO and FDA QSR standards
  • Support company goals for complaint investigation timelines and closures
  • Follow written SOPs and work instructions consistently

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with technical experience
  • Proficient computer skills, including basic Microsoft Office and internet-based systems
  • Strong data entry and documentation skills
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Ability to focus while performing repetitive and routine investigations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Medical Device or Biotech industry
  • Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting
  • Inspection or Quality experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Associate’s degree (2-year) in Electrical Engineering or another science-related field
  • Recent Bachelor’s degree graduates in Engineering or Science are an ideal fit.
