Title: Medical Reviewer/Safety Reviewer - A

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 12 Month

100% Onsite

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day medical complaint processing.
  • Collect, assess, and process medical complaints in a timely and compliant manner with applicable regulations
  • Conduct medical follow up calls to health care professionals as needed to obtain complaint details
  • Coding complaints using appropriate dictionary; searching and inputting data in electronic complaint database
  • Conduct medical safety assessments and risk analyses of medical complaints
  • Medical communication which includes writing standard and custom responses for complaints
  • Perform quality control checks for medical complaints
  • Determine complaint reportability to the competent authority
  • Understanding of department standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • May write or assist in preparing and completing literature reviews or website searches and data analysis supporting medical complaints.
  • Other duties/projects/support as assigned.

Education:

  • Minimum requirement: Bachelor of Science Health Sciences and/or related field
  • Master of Science or other clinically related field (such as Pharm-D) preferred
  • Registered Dietitian, Registered Nurse, or Pharmacist preferred

Background/Skills:

  • 1-3 years clinical experience
  • Some industry experience desirable.
  • Basic knowledge and demonstrated application of current clinical practices in nutrition and dietetics.
  • Understanding of standard operating procedures.
  • Clinical knowledge to apply critical thinking and data analysis to adverse event data collection and/or medical complaint assessments.
  • Computer proficient (Windows, Word, Excel).
  • Able to present medical and scientific data orally and in writing.
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative environment and with a multidisciplinary global team.
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Works independently
