Summary
This role supports the research and development of new medical device products by contributing technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include experimental design, material and component evaluation, and documentation to support design verification and validation. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, supplier interaction, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and innovation of new medical device products and technologies
- Conduct feasibility studies, experiments, and data analysis to validate concepts and designs
- Research materials, components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes
- Prepare technical documentation including test protocols, reports, and design justifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including suppliers and vendors, to resolve technical challenges
- Provide technical input during design reviews and throughout the development cycle
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates and issues to management
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, corporate, and quality standards
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Biomedical, or related Engineering field (master’s preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in medical device R&D or product development
- Strong understanding of mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with prototyping, test method development, and root cause analysis
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and technical documentation
- Familiarity with FDA, ISO, and medical device regulatory standards
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
