Job Overview
This position involves warehouse operations along with entry-level lab technician responsibilities in the Complaint Investigations Lab. The role includes handling inventory, processing returned products, conducting investigations, and maintaining documentation.
Warehouse Responsibilities
- Minimum of 1 year of previous warehouse experience is preferred.
- Able to use pallet jack and forklift to move pallets in warehouse. Must be able to complete forklift certification, training will be provided.
- Able to unpack boxes and carry contents to designated storage area (may be up to 50 lbs).
- Maintain warehouse inventory using Excel or database systems.
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat.
- Maintain clean shipping supply area.
- Comply with standard operating procedures (SOP’s), rules, and regulations.
- Complete reports by entering required information.
- Enter data into reports used for monitoring and updating warehouse activity via Excel and/or Word.
Lab Technician Responsibilities (Complaint Investigations)
- Unpack boxes safely and sort returned products by product lines.
- Investigate returned products to resolve customer complaints regarding blood glucose meters, strips, and sensors.
- Document complaint investigations in the Complaint Handling System.
- Use troubleshooting equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, microscopes, etc.
- Perform routine maintenance on quality records and ensure testing equipment validity.
- Perform routine testing (physical, chemical, or functional) on returned products.
- Summarize and record all test data and maintain proper documentation.
- Process customer returns in a timely manner in accordance with ISO and FDA QS regulations.
- Support company goals for timeliness of complaint investigations and closures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must have proficient computer skills, including navigating internet programs and basic Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and SOP’s is required.
- Good documentation skills are a must.
- Good computer skills are essential (data entry is a primary part of the job).
- Ability to focus while performing repetitive and routine investigations.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Medical Device / Biotech industry with a technical background is preferred.
- Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting is preferred.
- Ability to work in a team setting is a plus.
- Great fit for workers with inspection and quality experience.
Education Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical experience preferred.
- An Associate’s (two-year) degree in Electrical Engineering or other science may be considered.
- Recent college graduates with a Bachelor’s degree are an ideal fit for this entry-level position.
