Title: Complaint Investigations Tech (Lab Tech)

Location: Alameda, CA 94502

Duration: 6 Months | 100% Onsite

Shift: Second Shift | 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an Entry-Level Lab Technician to join the Complaint Investigations Lab. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a keen interest in medical devices and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely unpack returned product boxes and sort items by product line.
  • Investigate returned blood glucose meters, strips, and sensors to resolve customer complaints.
  • Document all complaint investigations accurately in the Complaint Handling System.
  • Utilize troubleshooting equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, and microscopes to complete investigations.
  • Perform routine maintenance on quality records.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is within calibration and validity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to navigate online programs and use Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions (SOPs) with accuracy.
  • Strong documentation and data entry skills (essential for investigation reporting).
  • Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive or routine investigations.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the Medical Device or Biotech industry.
  • Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting.
  • Experience in inspection and quality assurance roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (ideal for recent graduates).

Education Requirement

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED with technical experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
