Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with 5–6 years of hands-on accounting experience. This role supports a commercial organization where sales and forecasting activities directly impact financial results. The ideal candidate is eager, curious, detail-oriented, and committed to following proper accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records
• Prepare financial statements and support management reporting
• Perform month-end close activities
• Prepare and post journal entries (works closely with shared services but not in a shared services model)
• Apply strong understanding of debits and credits
• Support forecasting activities
• Work extensively with gross-to-net processes in the Data Foundation system (experience not required)
• Download and query financial data from SAP
• Utilize Power BI for reporting and analysis as needed
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• May supervise or support accounting personnel

Required Qualifications

• 5–6 years of on-the-job experience as an Accountant
• Strong knowledge of debits/credits and month-end processes
• Experience preparing journal entries
• Experience in a commercial organization where sales and forecasting impact financials
• Familiarity with spreadsheets and accounting software
• Understanding of GAAP
• SAP experience preferred
• Forecasting experience preferred
• Power BI experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (advanced degree may be preferred)
