Junior QA Tester (Mobile & Web Applications)

Title: Complaint Investigations Tech (Quality assurance tester)

Location: Alameda, CA

Duration: 12 Month

Job Description:

• Must have experience testing native mobile apps on Android and iOS platforms.
• Experience testing web applications.
• Experience in writing functional and UI/UX test cases.
• Strong skills in working with MS Excel like Vlookup, excel optimization, data validation, etc.
• Ability to navigate and utilize JIRA and Confluence - not required but strongly preferred.
• Bonus: Prior experience handling customer complaints and/or working in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and handle software complaint investigations for extended periods, focusing on mobile and web apps.
• Write test cases and replication steps to support complaint analysis.
• Work cross-functionally to communicate ongoing issues and assist in root cause identification.
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for process and performance improvements.

Experience Requirements:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in software testing or quality engineering.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with a lower level of education may be considered if they possess sufficient relevant experience.

Top 3 Skills:

• Experience testing on mobile apps for both Android and Apple
• Experience testing on web applications
• Medical device background

Overqualified would be anyone with over 5+ years of experience and/or master's degrees.

Manager will review candidates who are willing to relocate at their own expenses, but she needs them to relocate quickly.
