Main Purpose of Role

The Sr. Specialist Marketing keeps the customer, and the agency, satisfied. They may handle several accounts and serve as the primary point of agency contact for their clients. They also represent the client at agency meetings. They provide strategic management, understanding client needs, defining solutions for those needs, “selling” solutions to the client and advocating for the solution during the creative process.

Main Responsibilities

  • Understand the client communication challenges; gain deep knowledge about the business problems that the clients are solving
  • Develop solutions by marrying knowledge of creative with the understanding of the client challenges
  • Write creative briefs, or ensure they are written well and make sure there is a common understanding of objectives between the client and the Creative Network team
  • Work with the Project Manager to meet client deadlines without impacting quality or overtaxing creative resources
  • Serve as the client advocate within Creative Network and review interim deliverables before the client sees them to ensure they will meet the client's approval
  • Help the client understand the creative concept and how it relates to the creative brief
  • Capture client feedback in a structured manner so that each iteration moves the deliverable closer to finalization
  • Obtain feedback from the client after the project is over to gather learnings for the creative services group
  • Manages client portfolios with a revenue of $150K annual
  • Schedules and leads kickoff, concept, status and other client meetings
  • Responsible for client estimates, budgets and billing; develops quarterly financial sales goals and plans

Qualifications

  • Requires a person who has strong leadership, project management, strategic and analytical skills to operate authoritatively, independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strength in collaborative interactions within Abbott, across divisional teams, and with outside vendors is expected.
  • The incumbent must have superior communication, negotiating, and leadership skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Communication or Marketing preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years
  • Prefer an agency/corporate mix
  • This position requires senior-level account management, problem-solving and technical expertise. Excellent written and oral communication skills with particular attention to detail. Proficient using Office 365 applications and project management systems.
