Title: Microbiology Tech I
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: 1 Year Assignment
Our location in Columbus, OH, currently has an opening for a Microbiology Tech I. The Microbiology Tech I will assist with sample collection, testing, and lab maintenance at Abbott.
Responsibilities:
- Will assist a daily team of Technicians by collecting samples, test in-process samples, and finished samples.
- Media making
- Daily water collecting and testing.
- Will make and record observations.
- Preform simple calculations.
- Help in support functions; stocking and distributing supplies, collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
- Other tasks as needed.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to multitask
- Aseptic technique
- Microbiology background
- Previous lab experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate degree in related field required. Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Food Science preferred.
- 2 years relevant lab experience.
