Title: QA/QC Inspector
Location: Minnetonka, MN 55345
Duration: 6 Months | 100% Onsite
Position Summary
The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing purchased materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards, procedures, and specifications. This role requires a strong attention to detail, accurate documentation of inspection results, and the ability to support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials, components, and finished products.
- Conduct inspections and testing in compliance with documented procedures, work instructions, and specifications.
- Accurately record inspection and test data as directed, ensuring proper system entry.
- Operate test and measurement equipment in accordance with procedural guidelines.
- Document non-conformances using the Non-Conforming Material Review (NCMR) system.
- Participate in First Article Inspections (FAI) and support Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R) studies under engineering direction.
- Execute testing and inspection activities in response to special test requests.
- Provide training and guidance to other inspectors as needed.
- Assist with the collection, analysis, and trending of quality data.
- Identify and recommend improvements to inspection processes, policies, and procedures, including preparing and submitting change requests.
- Support divisional initiatives aligned with QMS, Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Input inspection data into required systems; limited use of CATSWeb for running queries and entering lot/test data.
- Perform additional departmental tasks as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in QA/QC inspection within manufacturing, medical devices, or related industries preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Knowledge of measurement tools and inspection techniques.
- Strong documentation and data entry skills with attention to accuracy.
- Familiarity with QMS, EMS, and regulatory standards is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
