Medical Billing Specialist

OVERVIEW

• Assure that all phases of processing client information follow HIPAA, PHI regulatory and related policies and practices.
• Report any compliance issues to the Director of Operations

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Coordinate the insurance verification process and make sure that the client understands their co-pay responsibility. 
• Responsible for follow-up as necessary to facilitate the collection of co-pays.
• When applicable may gather credit card or other payment processing information from client and input into the system to process payment for account

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
• Previous medical billing experience.
• Excellent office and communication skills.
