Overview:

Abbott Medical Devices is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Clinical Solutions team onsite in Sylmar, CA. This contract role involves architecting, designing, and developing web-based applications to support clinical data systems. The engineer will contribute to new development, maintenance of legacy applications, integration with enterprise systems, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software solutions for clinical trial data systems
• Integrate applications with enterprise platforms
• Maintain and enhance existing systems; develop ad-hoc reports and queries
• Perform code reviews, write specifications, and participate in Agile development
• Analyze data and trends to support business decisions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficient in web development, database modeling, and API design
• Experience with Angular/React, Azure, and Agile methodologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with ML/AI for business applications is a plus
