Our location in Alameda, CA currently has an opening for a Trainer. The Trainer supports the administration of organizational training programs at Abbott.

Title: Trainer

Location: Alameda, CA

Duration: 7 Months


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the training effectiveness team and review board by providing administrative and operations support for the organization’s training program.
  • Review requests and forms for accuracy, completeness, and intended outcomes; provide feedback for GDP, and ensure complete signature history.
  • Process training assignment forms and requests: pull supporting reports to assist in completing forms accurately (e.g., target audience, identifying correct modules, assessing impacts to curricula requested, and inclusion of related roles), and coordinate communication for approvals with other affected sites.
  • Support cross-functional managers with training change requests for curricula reviews and the creation of new curricula.

  • Ability to quickly learn new online electronic systems.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of training/quality experience.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to provide troubleshooting support (e.g., understanding tiers of training requirements).
  • Strong analytical ability to create and design metrics using tools like MS Excel (formulas like XLOOKUP, filtering, reporting, and pivoting).
  • Experience with administering in a Learning Management System (preferably ISOtrain), performing training assignments, and user account management.
  • Understanding of training plan structure with components like curriculum, modules, and courses.
  • Adept at managing projects and providing support to senior leaders.
  • Experience in creating and analyzing reports from system data, determining appropriate data inputs and outputs, and reporting quality metrics to site leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
