Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Duration: 12 months on W2 (100% Onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assigned line output, safety, yield, and quality.
  • Identify product defects and determine operational and process actions to reduce them.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and submit work order requests.
  • Work with QC Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Quality Engineer, and Operations to triage on-line issues, determine non-conformance, bracketing, containment, and generate corrective/preventive actions.
  • Maintain product and process knowledge, understanding the cause and effect of line changes.
  • Provide engineering fixes, such as tooling (TLTs) and manufacturing aids, from idea definition to implementation.
  • Understand procedures related to equipment controls.
  • Support technicians and supervisors in resolving equipment availability issues.
  • Determine quality impact of Out-of-Tolerance documents.
  • Execute change management processes for material, equipment, and process changes.
  • Generate CO and CR related to moderate to complex changes impacting manufacturing.
  • Support external and internal audits.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects, including CAPA implementations.
  • Evaluate and execute improvement ideas.
  • Conduct process studies and validations.
  • Serve as Manufacturing Engineering representative for projects related to yield, productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Perform statistical analysis for complex events.
  • Generate qualification and validation protocols and reports with minimal oversight.
  • Own CR activities from basic to high complexity with no oversight.
  • Understand regulatory implications of proposed changes.
  • Determine change types requiring filings and complete supporting documentation with oversight.
  • Consider risk mitigation strategies based on lessons learned.
  • Review previous similar projects to inform decision-making.
  • Anticipate potential issues affecting timelines and resolve them proactively.
  • Present information and collaborate across functions internally and externally.
  • Engage in cross-functional management communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in most engineering matters.
  • Minimal oversight required for moderately difficult assignments.
  • Strong ability to plan, execute, and communicate across functional areas.
