Title: Customer Service Operations specialist II

Location: Abbott Park, Illinois

Duration: 3+ Months, conversion to Fulltime after probation

Shift: 12 hours shift starting from 6:00 pm - 06.30 am

Working days: 4 days on and 4 days off, through the holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, enabling operators to effectively interact with all levels of personnel.
  • computer and systems experience preferred.
  • Experience with Excel, Microsoft, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Maximo is a plus
  • Must be detail-oriented with proficient documentation, organizational, and record-keeping skills.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor the Building Automation Systems and Process Alarm Systems for alarm activity within various sites (Abbott Park and Off-Site Buildings within Lake County).
  • Communicates security, safety, emergency, and business risk information quickly and professionally while under pressure.
  • Make urgent and effective decisions, evaluating the consequences of each option by best practices and procedures
  • Work comfortably and effectively with a diversified team
  • Ability to work independently (often multi-tasking during a high level of activity)
  • Concise and informative communication is required to ensure a smooth shift change by reviewing previous and pending alarm activity with teammates and ensuring
  • documentation is accurate and detailed
  • As members of the LCSO GES Maintenance division, Central Operations operators must embrace the role as the communicators and liaisons for Abbott customers and GES Maintenance.

Accountability / Scope:

  • Central Operations Response monitors alarm systems 24 hours a day, 365 days (includes weekends and Holidays). The Central Operations (COR) team is recognized throughout Abbott as the 24/7 hub, responsible for assuring that corrective actions are being addressed.
  • Failure to respond or initiate communication regarding system failure or alarm interruptions will result in damage or risk to product, manufacturing, building structure, research, critical data, or life safety.
  • Critical thinking skills, accurate documentation, communication, and prioritizing urgent concerns are essential to perform this role.
