Job Title: Training Specialist

Location: 1820 Bastian Court, Westfield, IN 46074

Duration: 12 Months

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Position Overview

The Training Specialist will support daily departmental operations while serving as a floater to address coverage gaps caused by absenteeism or increased workload. This role plays a critical part in maintaining audit readiness, compliance standards, and the overall effectiveness of the department’s training systems.

The ideal candidate will contribute to process improvement initiatives, maintain accurate training documentation, and support the development and delivery of training programs within a regulated quality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Readiness and Compliance

  • Conduct weekly GDP audits of certification documents to ensure training records are accurately completed and compliant, reducing record-processing time.
  • Perform weekly cubby and gowning audits, verifying that gowning bags are fully zipped, properly maintained, and labeled with current name tags.

Training Documentation & Systems

  • Prepare, update, and maintain departmental training manuals.
  • Create, update, and manage the department training matrix.
  • Process and file training records in accordance with quality standards.
  • Create and generate training reports.

Training Development & Delivery

  • Develop and implement training systems by identifying training needs, researching available options, and recommending effective training methods.
  • Provide and proctor training sessions.
  • Communicate certification and training gaps within manufacturing personnel and recommend solutions to address those gaps.
  • Support and implement training system upgrades to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain and enhance quality systems by identifying, isolating, and resolving issues within existing processes using customer feedback and automated systems.
  • Troubleshoot automated systems, research issues, and coordinate necessary system changes.
  • Plan and manage projects of varying complexity, including establishing priorities, schedules, and milestones.
  • Solve complex problems requiring interpretation of procedures and practices while exercising independent judgment and initiative.
  • Develop and implement projects from concept through completion.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3–5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience working within a regulated quality system environment.
  • Ability to interpret advanced data, present documentation and analysis, and resolve complex problems independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint.
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience facilitating training programs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or completion of relevant college coursework.
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Experience using statistical and data analysis platforms such as Oracle, SAP, PC GIVE, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lists, and Power Apps (including Power Automate).
  • Prior experience within a medical or healthcare-related organization.
