Title: Financial Analyst III

Location: Princeton, NJ

Duration: 12 Month (Possibility of Extension)

100% Onsite

Shift Time: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly analytical Financial Analyst III to support cost planning, analysis, and reporting for our manufacturing operations. This role partners with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights, ensure accurate reporting, and drive process improvements in compliance with GAAP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide cost planning, analysis, and reporting to senior leadership
  • Perform detailed cost accounting and variance analysis, including purchase price variance (PPV), overhead and spending analysis, freight and distribution expenses, inventory management, and capital expenditure tracking
  • Analyze financial data using TM1 and ERP systems; investigate and explain variances
  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly reporting packages
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and clearly communicate accounting impacts to stakeholders
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with Finance and IT teams to improve efficiency
  • Support ad-hoc analysis requests from Corporate Finance and Division teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong accounting and financial analysis background
  • Experience in variance analysis and financial systems
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across multiple levels of the organization
  • 2–5 years of finance/accounting experience in a large public company

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cost accounting or cost analysis
  • Manufacturing or supply chain finance experience
  • Experience working in matrixed and geographically diverse organizations
  • Working knowledge of TM1, SAP, Oracle, or MRP systems
