Title: Designer - Production (Web and Digital)
Location: St. Paul, MN
Duration: 12 Months
100% Onsite
Summary:
The Production Designer is responsible for the execution and production of a wide range of marketing, communications, and event-related materials that support Abbott's businesses and corporate initiatives. This role combines strong design execution with production expertise, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, brand-compliant, and produced efficiently across print, digital, environmental, and event mediums.
Primary deliverables include brochures, sell sheets, specification sheets, clinical insights and highlights, white papers, champion documents, fillable PDF forms, meeting agendas, posters, roll-up banners, trade show and symposium graphics, social media content, digital ads, and other marketing collateral. Much of the work involves building from established templates, updating existing materials, adapting content for new applications, and preparing final production-ready files.
This role will primarily support projects according to brand standards. Comprehensive training and access to extensive brand resources are provided to ensure consistency and compliance with brand standards.
The Production Designer partners closely with the Production Manager, Designers, Creative Directors, Project Managers, Marketing teams, and business stakeholders to execute projects accurately and on schedule. Responsibilities include creating layouts, preparing mechanical files, producing final artwork, implementing revisions, managing digital assets, preflighting files for print and digital distribution, and maintaining organized production workflows. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The team serves as part of Abbott's internal creative agency, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across any of the internal Abbott business divisions. As a result, projects vary significantly in scope and subject matter. A designer may support production for a global medical device trade show one day and execute assets for a corporate branding or employee engagement campaign the next.
