Shift: 7:00AM -3:30 PM

Position Overview:

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join the Toxicology team in Richmond, VA. This entry-level role supports daily lab operations including sample vial preparation, aliquoting, reagent labeling, inventory restocking, data entry, and general lab organization. The ideal candidate will assist with basic equipment maintenance, quality control tasks, and ensure compliance with SAMHSA and other regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sample vials and perform aliquoting.
• Label reagents accurately.
• Restock inventory and maintain supply levels.
• Perform data entry tasks.
• Organize and maintain cleanliness in the lab.
• Assist with basic equipment maintenance.
• Support quality control tasks.
• Ensure compliance with SAMHSA and other regulatory guidelines.
• Perform general support tasks such as restocking, cleaning, and organizing.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.
• Prior lab experience in a chemistry environment preferred but not required.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g., restaurant industry) ideal.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of lab procedures and equipment.
• Ability to follow SOPs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
