Position Overview:
We are seeking a Development Process Engineer to support cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams in process development. This role is responsible for evaluating and establishing manufacturing processes aligned with product specifications, quality systems, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes based on product design and specifications
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles in process and design alternatives
- Manage compliance with Design Control, Process Validation, and Quality Control standards
- Understand and consider Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) in process development
- Support regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, OSHA, QMS, EMS) and divisional initiatives
- Maintain awareness of intellectual property (IP) considerations related to processes
- Stay current with advancements in manufacturing and design technologies
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors
- Maintain documentation and adhere to company procedures and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field
- (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience)
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work independently or in a team setting
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Results-driven with a proactive approach
