Important Note

This is NOT an IT Project Manager role.

The hiring manager is seeking candidates with a Manufacturing Engineering and Project/Program Management background. Successful candidates typically have experience in Manufacturing Engineering and have transitioned into Project or Program Management roles.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager II to lead and manage manufacturing and business-related projects from initiation through completion. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring projects while ensuring quality, budget, timeline, and business objectives are met.

The Project Manager will work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to drive project success and deliver effective business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage single or multiple projects through the full project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors, business units, and stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Estimate project effort and resource needs using standard project management tools and methodologies.
  • Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and managing deliverables.
  • Identify project risks and develop contingency and mitigation plans.
  • Monitor project quality and ensure adherence to established processes and standards.
  • Provide regular project status updates, reports, and presentations to management and stakeholders.
  • Resolve project issues by working closely with project teams and customers.
  • Mentor and support junior project leaders on project management processes and best practices.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful project execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 7 years of project management experience.
  • Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related industry background strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
