Job Title: QA/QC Inspector - 2nd Shift

Location: 26531 Ynez Road, Temecula, CA 92591

Duration: 6 Months

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Position Overview

The QA/QC Inspector – 2nd Shift is responsible for performing quality inspections and audits on raw materials, components, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position works under direct supervision and serves as an entry-level role within the quality assurance and quality control function.

The inspector will support manufacturing operations by identifying quality issues, documenting inspection results, and ensuring proper handling of non-conforming materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of raw materials, components, subassemblies, finished assemblies, and documentation using established methods such as examination, measurement, and testing.
  • Identify and document non-conforming or potentially non-conforming materials, processes, or documentation according to established standards and procedures.
  • Complete required documentation, system transactions, and approvals (e.g., stamps, signatures, or electronic sign-offs) to record inspection results.
  • Handle discrepant materials according to documented disposition procedures and maintain accurate records in the appropriate systems or documentation.
  • Communicate inspection results, quality metrics, and audit findings through verbal updates and periodic reports.
  • Perform basic statistical analysis by collecting and entering quality data into software applications or conducting manual calculations.
  • Assist with training new or less experienced quality inspectors through on-the-job guidance and structured training sessions.
  • Issue, store, count, and maintain inventory across designated storage areas.
  • Handle, transfer, and properly document hazardous waste in accordance with safety and environmental procedures.
  • Plan and organize routine and non-routine tasks with supervisory approval while maintaining assigned work schedules.
  • Establish priorities for work assignments and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Apply established procedures and practices to resolve quality-related issues and maintain compliance with standards.
  • Maintain a general understanding of organizational processes, products, and services related to the assigned operational area.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and work under supervision.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with data entry or reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
