Title: Associate Scientist I

Location: Abbott Park, Illinois

About the position: Support laboratory experiments. Conduct and assist in investigations with cell culture and biochemical assays.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of science in a related field (preferably Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell biology)
• Prior laboratory experience (0-2 years) in molecular/cell biology techniques
• Daily tasks/duties and department interactions
• Laboratory experiments with biochemical and cell biology assays.

Major Responsibilities:

• Design experiments and testing schemes, analyze data, write protocols and reports and present results to a cross-functional team.
• Must demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills and be a team player. Knowledge of microscopy or flow cytometry a plus.
• Familiar with process and test method validations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Shall be able to perform under pressure to meet project deadlines.
