Job Title: Junior Vendor Data Analyst/ Procurement Analyst

The Vendor Data, Junior Analyst is responsible for maintaining (create/updates/deletion) master data in multiple applications for North America (US, Puerto Rico, and Canada). This data is shared and utilized by all functional groups and organizations across various Abbott divisions.
The Opportunity
Our location in Abbott Park, IL currently has an opportunity for a Vendor Data, Junior Analyst. The candidate will update and maintain supplier master data, including act as system support, answer inquiries from business partners and support leadership with maintaining SLAs and metric targets.
- Data Management & Governance: Maintain accurate supplier master data (create, update, delete) across multiple systems while adhering to governance rules and ensuring consistency across applications. Must comply and adhere to SOX controls, internal Abbott policies and procedures.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Partner with internal/external stakeholders and subject matter experts to verify critical data, prevent fraud, and provide timely, professional updates—including to senior leadership.
- System Expertise & Support: Develop strong knowledge of the SAP MDG system and related platforms to serve as a key resource and provide system support for internal users.
- Analysis & Risk Awareness: Investigate data requests, assess downstream impacts across systems, and apply sound judgment to meet business requirements.
- Operational Effectiveness: Manage and prioritize high volumes of requests in a fast-paced environment, balancing tight timelines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Teamwork & Adaptability: Support local and global initiatives, build subject matter expertise, and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Projects and Requests: Participate with projects or initiatives as required by leadership, and support ad-hoc requests as needed.

Desired Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Background in vendor support, data management, finance, supply chain or similar functions is a plus
