Title: Engineer - Degreed II_SJM

Location: Plano, TX

Duration: 12 Months

100% Onsite

Job Duties

  • Provides technical or clinical information to customers in response to inquiries/reports from the field.
  • Provides back-up support to Field Clinical Engineering/Sales Representatives in troubleshooting.
  • Documents all contacts via an approved tracking system, writing Field Contact Reports for complaints per SMF guidelines.
  • Performs product evaluations and testing based on reports from the field.
  • On a rotating after-hours on-call shift (rotating between other department Technical Services employees), provides clinical and technical support services.
  • Remains current on developments in field(s) of expertise, applicable regulatory requirements, and maintains a general knowledge of the company’s products, markets, and objectives, as well as industry trends.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communication and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

Experience Required

  • 2–3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance or technical support.
  • Experience with medical device design, development, or assembly is beneficial.
  • Experience within a hospital or medical center’s biomedical engineering department is beneficial.
  • Recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and call center experience (or equivalent) will be considered.
  • Education Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Science, or a related engineering field is preferred.
