Title: Associate Scientist II

Location: Abbott Park, Illinois

Duration: 12 Month Assignment

About the role:

This position is an office only position to support documentation activities for diagnostic product line. (No Laboratory work is required for this position)

Day to day work:

The individual will be working in various systems and software to update documentation relating to diagnostic products. They will need to review a plan that defines what changes are required to several document types and then execute the changes to the documents. They will need to be able to read and understand operating procedures to understand the specific requirements for each system/document type. They will need to be able to work independently after being assigned a product to meet all activities and timelines for their specific products.

Qualifications:

Education min. - Bachelor of Science or related however, will be open to taking other qualified individuals with other Bachelor degrees/ Experience min, none.

Top 5 skills/requirements:

  • Formalized document change control experience.
  • Computer aptitude, able to learn and work well in many different Company specific systems. General computer aptitude in Ex. Microsoft Word, formatting and troubleshooting formatting issues, Adobe acrobat etc.
  • Project management (Several products will be assigned, a successful individual will be able to track the activities for their own products and work independently on required tasks with the support from management)
  • Critical thinking
  • Good communications skills.
  • Able to communicate problems professionally with little oversight.

Skillset complimented the role previously:

  • They had industry experience already and worked in a setting here documentation updates were required
  • Strong work ethic and always pushed to have work/get work done
  • Good Communications skills and was capable of effectively communicating issues or information with little oversight.
  • Capable of reading and digesting operating procedure
