Summary
Exercise knowledge of technical skills and understanding of the business objectives, manufacturing operations and dynamics of the company’s environment to take an effective and proactive leadership role in a specific technical manufacturing discipline. Lead complex manufacturing engineering tasks, anticipate technical issues, and develop solutions using creative and innovative approaches while collaborating with peers and mentors.
Responsibilities
- Set direction for and lead complex manufacturing engineering technical tasks with multiple inter-coordinating elements.
- Take ownership of manufacturing engineering activities and ensure successful execution of projects.
- Anticipate and identify key technical issues and recommend effective solutions where precedent may not exist.
- Apply new methods and approaches when resolving manufacturing and engineering challenges.
- Evaluate potential impacts of technical decisions on other system components.
- Collaborate with peers and mentors through peer reviews to confirm task approach and project direction.
- Participate in verification and validation activities to ensure quality and reliability of engineering solutions.
Required Skills / Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge related to manufacturing engineering disciplines.
- Ability to lead and manage complex technical tasks and projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively when addressing new challenges.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and business objectives.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with peers and mentors.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
