Summary

This Marketing Associate role is a part-time, onsite position (up to 30 hours/week) based in Alameda, CA, with a 6-month duration and potential for extension. The associate will support the Brand Team by managing project timelines, improving internal processes, maintaining communication with stakeholders, and assisting with presentation and database management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track project timelines across all phases: intake, planning, execution, and delivery
  • Work with the Brand Team to develop process improvements and review cadences for ongoing and upcoming projects
  • Provide clear, regular updates to stakeholders and manage communication across cross-functional teams
  • Assist in developing and refining presentation decks for internal and external audiences
  • Support database and content management by gathering, updating, and validating key information
  • Help ensure alignment and interlock across teams working on high-priority marketing initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support brand and marketing operations.

Required Skills

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, project coordination, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities
  • Foundational understanding of brand and marketing strategies
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed organization with cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Experience in a regulated industry is helpful but not required.
