Title: Legal Specialist

Location: Abbott Park, IL

Duration: (8-week Summer work)

100% Onsite

Required Qualifications:

• US accredited law student after completion of 1L year.
• Demonstrated excellence in academic record
• Strong legal research and drafting abilities
• Excellent written and verbal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels
• Initiative, drive, and the ability to manage multiple tasks

What you will work on:

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance issues.
• Assist with contract review, drafting, and negotiation for commercial agreements.
• Support policy development and internal compliance initiatives.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide legal input on business projects.
• Help manage document organization, due diligence, and other transactional support tasks.
• Prepare summaries and reports for internal stakeholders.
• Deliverables may include a final presentation to senior leadership/executives.
• Professional development opportunities include leadership sessions, networking events, mentorship, and training aimed at career readiness.
