Title: Manufacturing Engineer Technician - Intermediate (2nd shift)

Summary
Provides technical support relating to equipment utilized in the manufacturing areas by repairing, maintaining, installing, or modifying production equipment utilizing technical expertise, technical manuals, schematic drawings, precision tools, and test equipment. Supports manufacturing engineering team through training, device dissections, root cause analysis, data tracking and trending, and responding to the outputs of those activities.
Supports assembly of new fixturing and modification of existing fixturing. Supports manufacturing line requests by troubleshooting equipment and materials, and providing training where needed.
This role works closely with the engineering and manufacturing operations teams to ensure line runs at the planned pace for entirety of the shift, driving towards minimal productivity loss and yield loss.
This role requires proactive and reactive problem solving, with escalation support to engineering staff available as necessary. Communication of issues and resolution of them ensures continuity across shifts and the product value streams.
Main Responsibilities
- Provides support to manufacturing line by ensuring materials and equipment are available and ready at shift startup to minimize downtime.
- Activities include diagnosing and troubleshooting faults and undertaking repairs.
- Performs maintenance and repair such as mechanical, pneumatics, electrical systems.
- Interprets engineering drawings and evaluates materials and equipment against those drawings.
- Support scheduled maintenance activities as-needed.
- Certifies and trains manufacturing associates according to production processes and standards of work.
- Supports process improvement investigations and training.
- Supports root cause analysis through dissection, logging of data, and performing corrections on the manufacturing line.
- Conducts on-line adjustments to equipment and process parameters as permitted by procedures to support manufacturing processing.
- May develop or revise documents and procedures.
- Identifies corrective actions for manufacturing related issues and supports their implementation.
- Installs and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.
- Requires work in controlled access environment and adherence to medical device manufacturing standards and regulations.
Education
- Education Level Major/Field of Study or Equivalent
- Technical Diploma (± 12 years) In an Engineering / Technical Discipline ✔ An equivalent combination of education and work experience will suffice. HS Diploma required.
Experience/Background
- Minimum 3 years Relevant experience: Manufacturing Operations Support or Engineering Support Roles.
- English proficiency Reading/writing/speaking English proficiency is required.

- Hands-on skills (fixture assembly, machining, soldering)
- Basic Excel
- Soldering skills
- Controlled access environment (clean room or similar) experience is preferred.
