Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Internal Recruitment Specialist to support targeted hiring for projects including major construction and fibre infrastructure projects. This role will focus on proactive headhunting and talent mapping across key project delivery roles.

 

The successful candidate will have strong experience recruiting within the construction, telecommunications, or infrastructure sectors, with the ability to identify and engage highly specialised candidates.

 

This is a hands-on recruitment role responsible for sourcing, screening, and managing candidates through the hiring process while partnering closely with project leaders. The role will also include the full onboarding of all candidates, and associated administrative duties.

 

Key Accountabilities

In this role, your main responsibilities are:

Talent Sourcing & Headhunting

·      Proactively identify and engage passive candidates using LinkedIn, industry networks, and direct outreach.

·      Conduct targeted headhunting for specialist roles within fibre construction and infrastructure projects.

·      Building active talent pipelines for critical project delivery positions.

 

Recruitment Delivery & Onboarding

·      Manage end-to-end recruitment processes from briefing through to offer and onboarding.

·      Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and project timelines.

·      Conduct candidate screening interviews and shortlisting.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

·      Work closely with project directors, construction managers, and HR to ensure recruitment aligns with project delivery timelines.

·      Provide market insights on talent availability, salary benchmarks, and hiring strategies.

·      Recruitment Process Management.

·      Coordinate interviews and candidate communications.

·      Maintain accurate candidate records within the ATS.

·      Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.


Skills, experience & qualifications

Experience

·      Proven experience in internal recruitment or agency recruitment.

·      Strong headhunting and direct sourcing experience.

·      Proven experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (livehire/humanforce an advantage)

·      Demonstrated experience recruiting within:

Construction, Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Fibre network rollout projects (highly desirable).

Skills

·      Strong stakeholder management skills.

·      Ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously.

·      Excellent candidate engagement and networking capabilities.

·      Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing tools.
