The Role: Master Scheduler

We’re seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to lead the development and management of integrated program schedules across the company’s national fibre infrastructure projects. This role is critical in ensuring schedule integrity, delivery visibility and proactive risk management across a complex, multi-stream environment.

You will own end-to-end scheduling across all project phases, from SAED and design through to construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring alignment across interdependent workstreams, contractors and key stakeholders. You will also play a key role in identifying critical path risks, forecasting delivery outcomes and supporting recovery planning, enabling informed decision-making at Project, Executive and Board level.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule across all infrastructure programs (Level 1–3)
  • Manage critical paths, dependencies and interfaces across all phases of delivery.
  • Deliver schedule analysis, forecasting and scenario modelling to support decision making.
  • Identify risks, delays and constraints, and support recovery planning.
  • Standardise scheduling tools, methodologies and reporting across the program.
  • Partner with Project Managers and delivery teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of schedules.
  • Provide clear, concise reporting to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning, sequencing and delivery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the integrity, accuracy and transparency of the program schedule.
  • Proactively identifying, assessing and mitigating schedule risks.
  • Driving alignment of delivery timelines across all workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Managing interfaces across internal teams, contractors and external partners.

Expertise, experience & qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Commerce or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in program scheduling and controls within large-scale infrastructure or telecommunications environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, Microsoft Planner)
  • Strong understanding of linear infrastructure delivery (fibre, utilities, transport or similar)
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-contractor schedules across full project lifecycles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive schedule discipline across delivery teams.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
