The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master with telecommunications experience to join our agile development team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about agile methodologies, possess excellent facilitation and coaching skills, and have a proven track record of leading successful agile teams in the telecommunications industry.


Responsibilities

Agile Leadership:

  • Act as a servant leader for the agile team, facilitating Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members on agile principles, practices, and values to promote self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Remove impediments or blockers that hinder the team's progress and facilitate resolution of conflicts.
  • Ensure adherence to Scrum framework and agile best practices, while continuously improving team processes and workflows.

Technical Leadership:

  • Collaborate closely with the development team to understand technical complexities and provide guidance on architectural decisions and implementation strategies.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation, encouraging the adoption of best practices, code reviews, and automated testing.
  • Facilitate collaboration between development, testing, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software releases.

Quality Assurance and Innovation:

  • Drive continuous improvement in product quality and delivery efficiency through the implementation of quality assurance practices and metrics.
  • Champion innovation within the team, encouraging experimentation and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance product value and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead efforts to identify and address technical debt, refactor code, and improve system performance and scalability.

 

Skills, experience & qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master or agile coach in a telecommunications or related industry.
  • Familiarity with OSS/BSS models and telecom industry practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and workshops effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using agile tools such as Jira, Trello etc.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with distributed teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
