About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to support an NDIS participant in Leura.
You'll bring your experience and knowledge in Parkinsons, supporting across a variety of shifts:
- Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm - Community, social and recreational activities
- Monday to Friday 6pm to 9pm - Personal care
In this role, you’ll need to be assertive and calm under pressure, while also being encouraging and understanding. A strong listener who is able to prompt and promote independence and engagement, you’ll be a key part of helping them live an independent and fulfilling life.
No two days are the same! Your support might look like:
- Personal care
- Getting out into the community to do activities the clients enjoy
- Providing transport and mobility assistance
- Helping out with a few light cleaning jobs around the home when needed
- Assist with medication management
What You’ll Need
- Cert 3 in Aged Care, Individual Support or relevant Nursing qualifications
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWCC
- First Aid and CPR
- Valid drivers licence and your own reliable, insured car
- Willingness to complete all client-specific training before you begin (we’ll guide you through it)
