  • providing learning support particularly with ESL/International and open learning students
  • team teaching especially relating to job seeking skills i.e. preparation of resumes, application writing and skilling for interviews
  • providing student services at Adelaide City, Noarlunga and O'Halloran Hill Campuses
  • providing student services to students, communities and staff, in Port Pirie, Jamestown, Peterborough, Orroroo, Booleroo Centre and Gladstone

  • inducting and co-ordinating tutors and HPI's ;
  • advocating and mentoring for students and TAFE Act staff i.e. new HPI's
  • supporting staff and lecturers in particular, in student behaviour management and conflict resolution
  • proactive strategies promoting and supporting TAFE SA Workplace Health and Safety and Injury Management policies, procedures and practises
  • representing and promoting TAFE SA at Cleve and Paskeville Field Days
  • representing and promoting TAFE SA at careers expos regionally and in the metropolitan area
  • maintaining relationships with SATAC, Centrelink, other RTO's and JSA's
Preparation Program - Lecturer
  • co-ordinating and teaching an ESL program for Coober Pedy and Whyalla clients ;
  • developing and implementing teaching resources ;
  • teaching adult literacy/numeracy ;
  • teaching, monitoring and reporting on the Vocational Preparation School Pathways Program
  • interviewing, assessing and placing prospective students
  • maintaining working and reporting relationships with campus and program management
  • maintaining standards compliance and completion of class forms
  • maintaining attendance records for Centrelink and ELLS (English Language and Literacy Services)
  • assisting with tendering, coordinating and delivery of DEETYA, ESL and Adult Literacy and Numeracy services
  • preparing invoices for Centrelink and ELLS ;
  • maintaining reporting and working relationships with DEETYA/Centrelink and with campus and program management
  • inducting new HPI staff, coordinating HPI activities and promoting their employment and staff development opportunities
